Milestone based IP CCTV for Renaissance Care
Network Webcams completed a five camera video security installation at the Renaissance at Glencairn, a luxurious care home in Edinburgh.
The IP CCTV system comprises four JVC high-performance IP dome cameras and one Pelco IP Camclosure, all with day and night performance providing 24/7 security to the home and its residents. Infra Red illumination has been provided in some areas as light pollution issues prevented the Renaissance to install any standard lighting.
JVC and Pelco IP dome cameras were chosen because of their small, unobtrusive appearance in keeping with the luxurious environment of the care home, which also is a listed building.
The CCTV system is running on a Milestone platform enabling managers at Renaissance to control the system and playback any required CCTV footage.
The camera system is fully networked allowing managers to operate the system from their standard office computers and also remotely from home or on the go in case of an urgent incident.
